Nevana Designs is excited to announce a new endorsement partnership with the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA), from August 2017.

At its core, the partnership formed with the IDA is testament to the real-world sustainability and eco-friendly benefits our range of products provide.

Incorporating ‘Dark Sky Friendly’ technology, both our world-renowned STARPATH and Eco-Disc are recognised not only for their ability to reduce energy consumption but also for offering a ‘zero light pollution’ alternative to traditional lighting fixtures. Their ability to reduce glare and help maintain the beauty of the night sky make our products a perfect complement to the Dark Sky initiative, enhancing the effectiveness of the incredible work carried out by this organisation around the world.

Pete Strasser, Technical Director of International Dark-Sky Association, comments on the partnership:

“IDA enthusiastically supports using Nevana Designs’ luminescent products, as they provide safe and long-lasting pathway and potential hazard indication, obviating the need for additional way finding illumination.”

He continues:

“The International Dark-Sky Association is always looking for unique solutions to lighting tasks and STARPATH and the Eco disc are indeed clever and effective, making traditional post top and area lighting unnecessary.”

Working closely with the IDA, Nevana Designs looks forward to helping raise awareness of the Dark-Sky opportunity, and indeed incorporating its products where practicable to address pervasive light pollution around the globe. Nevana Designs CEO, Hamish Scott adds:

“We are really excited about partnering with the IDA, to help decrease light pollution and preserve the night sky around the world. The IDA endorsement for STARPATH and Eco-Disc is yet more proof of the sustainable and environmental benefits delivered by Nevana Designs, and enables communities around the world to share in the opportunity.”

      Hi Darren,

StarPath is like most standard resin-bound pathways and once applied correctly, will perform well in all conditions.
